BIOGRAPHY

Antonia Schreiber studied under Helga Storck, Charlotte Balzereit and Germaine Lorenzini, rounding off her training with masterclasses by Isabelle Moretti, Cristina Bianchi, Sarah O'Brien and Isabelle Perrin.

Antonia Schreiber has been the prizewinner at many international competitions and has received grants from foundations such as the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Villa Musica Mainz.

Alongside her activities as soloist, Antonia Schreiber is also intensively involved in chamber music. In 2009 she began working together with the violinist Ingolf Turban, and in 2010 she was a founding member of the Auros-Trio. Since 2013 Antonia Schreiber has been principal harpist in the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne. From 2008 to 2011 she played at the Vienna State Opera and in the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. She was a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the National Youth Orchestra of Germany, and held a scholarship at the Orchestra Academy of the Munich Philharmonic.

She is also noted for her commitment to contemporary music; for example, she has participated in the premières of solo and chamber music works by the composers Sir Harrison Birtwistle and Wolfram Buchenberg.
