BIOGRAPHY Simone Schröder studied at the "Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik" in Berlin. She is a member of the Unter den Linden State Opera in Berlin. Additionally she is a regular guest artist at the Bayreuth festival. There she sings "Floßhilde", "Schwertleite" and "The first Norn" in the Ring Cycle, as well as one of the "Flower Maidens" and the "Voice from above" in Parsifal. She excelled as "Erda" in Rheingold, Siegfried as well, in 2009 at the National Theatre in Tokyo under the direction of Dan Ettinger. Guest appearances have taken her to various opera houses in Germany, the USA, Austria, Spain, Singapore and Denmark. Simone Schröder has worked with Daniel Barenboim, Michael Boder, Pierre Boulez, Christoph Eschenbach, Dan Ettinger, Adam Fischer, Michael Gielen, Fabio Luisi, Christian Thielemann and Giuseppe Sinopoli.
