The Stuttgarter Zeitung wrote after her jump-in, in the Stuttgart RING "Fujimura is facing a brilliant career with such a magnificent performance as Fricka. On her way to Vienna, Salzburg, Tokyo she left an intensive feeling of the perfect bliss of opera."
By virtue of her beautiful voice and impressive stage presence, this highly talented mezzo soprano has made a career with a vast repertoire within an unusually short time. Bayreuth released her to take over Fricka in the production of Walküre in Munich shortly before the dress rehearsal. She sings Brangäne, Venus, Fricka, Waltraute, Orlofsky, Octavian and Komponist as well as Donna Elvira, Azucena, Carmen, Rosina, Sextus, Fenena, Ulrica, Eboli. In Graz she gave her debut in the Ring with both Frickas, Erda and Waltraute. Shortly after these debuts followed her debut as Brangäne at the State Opera in Vienna in autumn 2000 with a great success. Since then she is a permanent guest with the roles of Brangäne, Fricka, Waltraute and Erda. Up from 2002 she is Fricka in Rheingold and Walküre in Bayreuth. In the "Ring" in Berlin, Munich and Tokyo she will be Fricka and Waltraute. In June 2001 she sang her first Brangäne in Munich and will appear in this role within the following years. In 2003 she gave her debut as Kundry at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. After singing her first Eboli in Tokyo 2001 she was elected as singer of the year 2002 in Japan and got the famous Idemitsu Music Award.
